Invitations to events such as weddings, graduations, birthdays and showers are sometimes one of the costliest things you can do for your event if you order them through a company.  Many of these companies gouge for the printing costs, especially for fancier invitations because they think that a lot of people won't make their own since they are perceived to be lower quality.  This is actually a complete myth; you can print free invitations for any event you want now with many different printers on the market today.
