At the moment you cannot get a multi-task printer; there is just no way to make something like a scanner/printer/copier into anything compact enough to call it a travel machine, but perhaps sometime in the next few years, this level of technology will be achieved. In the meantime, you can enjoy the benefits of having inkjet portable printers for notebook computers to take with you if you travel frequently and still want to keep a hard copy record of work or other things you want while you travel.

And while they may still be a bit expensive now, they will come down in price as more companies produce them and more people buy them, so you may just have to wait a little if you're on a budget. They are a fun piece of electronics to have if you travel and even if you don't, you may not mind a lower quality printer that takes up only a bit of space.
